The Under Way contains two parts: Stone, and Air. Both contain abstractly dark poems, and took roughly 10 years each to complete. Stone was formed during a long period of self searching underground; Air is the following ten years that occurred after re-reaching the surface. I believe my journey to be everyone’s. Let us face whatever comes, together, with light and love.
Also included is an additional section, ‘Small Meals’, with 13 poems. In line with the surrounding theme is a tribute to Edgar Allen Poe in the form of a short story entitled ‘Glimmer and Shade’. Based loosely on Poe’s ‘Eldorado’, the story follows a tired knight, lost in a wasteland of limbo-worlds as he comes to question his quest and himself.
